Personal Style Tips
PRINCIPLE BIOLASCARIS DESIGN is home to artist, designer and author Karen Lascaris. She began her career as a clothing and accessories designer on the Polo Ralph Lauren Women's Design Team, eventually becoming the company's first Creative Director. She has designed for such notable companies as Celine and Charles Jourdan of Paris, Charles David of California, and Skechers USA.While fashion has been an integral part of her career, Karen is by no means limiting her creative talents. She is also the author of "In Our Own Image: Treasured African American Traditions, Journeys, and Icons", published in 2001 by Running Press of Philadelphia. She has exhibited her fine art and photography in several US shows in New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles, and her work has become a favorite of collectors around the globe. Karen has also received several commissions, and commercially, she's created illustrations and graphics for a variety of companies such as Revlon, Rizzoli Books, Henry Holt and Sons, Lincoln Center, and United Airlines.After coming to Hollywood, Karen combined all of her skills and her eye for detail as producer and correspondent for the FGW Productions team, which produced "Inside Man: Denzel and Spike, Man-to-Man", giving Karen her first Producer credit, as well as Red Carpet interviews for the 28th Annual Academy Awards.Karen is originally a New Jersey native, and attended Pratt Institute in New York. She is inspired by travel abroad to London, Paris, Italy, and China. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband.
